JUST IN: Here’s The Sneaky Trick Prince Harry Has To Use To Avoid Trump’s Wrath

Former President Barack Obama and Prince Harry have come to be friends and formed a bond, of sorts. However, that may not necessarily mean that Obama will receive an invitation to the upcoming Royal Wedding; and if this is the case, the reason for Obama’s absence from the event can be attributed solely to political pressure.

British journalist and author of the biography, titled Prince Harry: The Inside Story, Duncan Larcombe, has said that since “Harry and Meghan will be guided by the Foreign Office’s advice,” and “Diplomacy is very important,” it is very likely that the couple will be asked not to invite Michelle and Barack Obama, for fear of upsetting the sensitivities of President Donald Trump.

The Foreign Office, which is responsible for the protection and promotion of British interests, typically suggests the foreign royals, dignitaries, and diplomats to be invited to royal weddings. Prince William and Kate Middleton’s wedding in 2011 saw no heads of state invited to the event. Larcombe strongly believes that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will do the very same.

“There were religious leaders, members of the royal family, and commonwealth countries that were invited. I suspect that will be the same blueprint that [Meghan and Harry] will use,” Larcombe said. “It’s all very carefully orchestrated to make sure that there’s no political overtones.”

Even though Trump knows that Obama is no longer a head of state, and therefore able to attend the wedding as a personal friend to Harry, the ego-driven President of the United States will see Obama’s invite as a personal insult.

Larcombe’s analysis sees Prince Harry making the diplomatic decision to contact Obama in order to explain the situation at hand – and convey that the perception of the whole matter could spark unnecessary tension.

Do you think that Prince Harry should just invite Obama to the Royal Wedding, anyway?
